THE 12 edition of Ughelli Prayer Day of Thanksgiving tagged, EBENEZER was celebrated with prayers and supplications for God to heal the land and deliver the kingdom ancient enchantment.
The annual program had always been a success right from inception 12 years ago.
According to the traditional ruler of Ughelli Kingdom, HRM Evang Dr. Wilson Ojakovo Oharisi III, JP, APJ, “I Feel happy because God has answered our prayers because the vision came to me that we should have prayers every year and ever since then, God has been faithful to us.
“This is the 12th edition and I am happy because I am seeing vision going from strength to strength and I calling on all sons and daughters of Ughelli Kingdom to always come out to praise and worship God from the bottom of their heart in time like this.
“It is my appeal and advice to our neighboring communities to also set up a Prayer Day like this for God to bless them as He is blessing us, I they should emulate what is good and God will bless them.”
On his part, Chairmen of the Central Working Committee, Igho Richard said, “From the theme of the program, EBENEZER, you can see that God has helped us despite the challenges.
“Ughelli Day of Prayer is the will of God for the land and the response from the churches and the people is encouraging and we are happy.
Our people should endeavour to come in our next edition because if there is crisis in the land, the banks, schools and other businesses and churches will not open.
“We are in a land where the king is saying come lets pray and praise the living and stop going to the shrine, it is a welcome development and our people should understand that very well”.
